Staying true to the genre, the developers of Squidward's Suicide claim that the game is based on an unreleased SpongeBob Squarepants episode that originally aired in 2005. The main difference is that, unlike the children's cartoon series, this game contains dark and disturbing undertones.
An unhinged plot
The main character awakes from a dream only to find himself asleep in another mental state. While he appears to be within the Spongebob universe, many elements are disturbingly out of place. It is his job to solve puzzles and endure trials in order to make sense of what is happening.
